Winston Delano Brown

January 17, 1944 — April 24, 2020

Winston Delano Brown, 76 of Greenville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, April 24, 2020. He was met at the pearly gates by his father Glenn Brown, mother Hope Brown of Brasstown, NC, sisters, Lou Ella Jenkins of Doraville Georgia and Judy Ledford of Cleveland, Georgia. Winston, is survived by his wife, Lucille M. Brown, five children, Dwayne Penn, Susan Bruce, Jim Dulac, Debbie Darlington and David Brown along with 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, as well as his siblings, Murrial Rogers, Leuna Bunnell, Karen Smith, Wendell Brown, and Hoyt Brown.

Winston was born and raised in the mountains of Brasstown, NC, home of the Brasstown Carvers, of which his parents, Glenn and Hope were recognized as world renowned wood carvers.

Winston was a loved member of Potter's Clay Fellowship of Easley, SC and known affectionately by the children as the “lollipop man”.

Winston retired after 41 years with Pet Dairy in 2008.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Winston’s name to the building fund for Potter's Clay Fellowship.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Potters Clay Fellowship, 142 Grace Drive, Easley, SC at 2 pm. The Memorial Service will be live streamed as well.
