William (Bill) Kester Sizelove, 90, formerly of Cloverdale Indiana, husband of Donna Jean (Sharp) Sizelove died Saturday March 9, 2019 at is home in Troy, South Carolina with the care from Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born 11-26-1928 in Bismarck, IL he was the son of the late Jesse Edgar Sizelove and Sarretta Fern (Dines) Sizelove and the younger brother of Mary Fern (Sizelove) Ingram of Rossville Illinois from where he graduated and then served us during the Korean War. He began working in a ditching business with his father and was then instrumental in the Bismarck Fire Department where he has received monument honors and served as chief. Relocating back to Indiana after his family moved to Bismarck after WW11, he developed his skill in construction and married Donna (Sharp) Sizelove in 1973 where he built and lived until he retired in 2003. He was the owner of Cloverdale Lumber Company from the late 1980’s and 1990’s and worked afterwards with John David Construction until he fully retired at the age of 73. Lastly, moving to Troy South Carolina to live near daughter, Angie (Dunkin) Shirk and son-in-law Robert Harland Shirk, Sr., he was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he was saved and baptized in 2004.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Deanna Kay VanGieson of Mobile, AL, and his in-laws Woodrow and Velda Sharp of Cloverdale Indiana.
Surviving in addition to his wife and daughter is his Sister Mary Fern (Sizelove) Ingram, Rossville Illinois and her 9 remaining children, Sheila, Sherry, Bobbie Sue, Pam, Donna, Mary Jo, Cheryl, Jackie and Robert J: brother-in-law Jim Sharp (Jeannette)of Cloverdale Indiana: niece Traci Sharp Toney, Cloverdale Indiana and Terri Fogle, Neoga, IL : a grand-daughter (Cheyanne Painter): and two great-grandchildren Matthew Shirk and Alexis Painter and his grand-pups, Pacer, Sofie and Charlie and very special great-great niece Addison Wallace.
A memorial service will be planned at a future date in Indiana where he will be laid to rest.
