William "Mr. Bill" George Akers

William “Mr. Bill” George Akers, 79, passed from this life Monday, November 30, 2020 at his home with his daughters and friends by his side. Born in Napa County, California, he is a son of the late Billy Ross Akers and the late Pearl James Akers. Bill is a Veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from Vem-Co Corp. He was also a Deputy Sheriff in Nevada City, California. Survivors include his daughters Brenda Spingler (Joe), Amy Smith (Pat), seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers, one sister, several nieces and nephews, and his girlfriend Kay Scott. Bill is predeceased by his parents and his wife of over twenty years Margo Akers. To honor Bill’s wishes there will not be a service, however, to carry on his memory donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
