Doug was previously married to Ann Marie Mizell. He was blessed with three sons: William Douglas Mizell, Jr. (Tia), Christopher Mizell (Tuyet Nguyen), John Derek Mizell (Angela). Doug was a proud grandfather to Brittany, Alejandro, and Mirrah Mizell, and great-grandfather to Leah Ford. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
