Landreth, William T. “Tom”
William T. Landreth, known to family and friends as “Tom,” passed away on Thursday,
March 12, 2020, at Open Arms Hospice in Simpsonville, SC, at the age of 76 from Lung
Cancer.
A native of Greenville, Tom attended and graduated from Parker High school. He held
various jobs through his life’s journey prior to retiring from 3M Corporation in Greenville.
He was a music director for various churches in the Upstate and had a wonderful
singing voice.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley (Mize) Landreth, three children Donna
(Landreth) Roark, Russell S. Landreth, and Sally (Landreth) Brannen and son-in-law
Richard. He also has two precious granddaughters Katrina Roark and Ashley Landreth.
Tom is also survived by two sisters and a brother, Jenny McAlister and brother-in-law
David from Simpsonville, Chip Landreth and sister-in-law Donnie of Greenville, and
Judy Powell of Easley. As well as several nieces and nephews on his side of the family.
Tom is predeceased by his father Hendrix Yancy Landreth and mother Edith Shelton
and a sister Lois Mason.
A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Cross Roads Baptist Church, 160 Crossroads
Church Rd, Easley, SC 29640 Phone (864) 859-1125. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm –
2:15 pm with the service following at 2:30 pm.
