William Robert “Bill” Jamison of 12 Bramblewood Terrace in Simpsonville, was called home to his Lord and Savior on Easter morning after a long illness. Bill was surrounded continually by the loving care of his family and friends.
Born on August 25, 1956 to Elmer Alvis “Jay” and Leslie Dukes Jamison of Easley, SC, Bill graduated from Christ Church Episcopal School. He attained his undergraduate degree from The Citadel prior to earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. His career included practicing law and serving as a trust officer and financial advisor.
He was passionate about his Lord and Savior and found deep fulfillment in participating in the Christian Businessmen’s Connection in Greenville and a Bible Study led by Pastor David Whitcomb. Bill was gifted with a steadfast and deeply spiritual, selfless companion, Harold “Trip” Washburn III, who dedicated untold hours to Bill by bringing joy, fun and delight to him, especially during his days of declining health. His leisure time was enjoyed in the woods communing with God, nature, and wild game as well as on the golf course.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Gowan Jamison; his daughter, Lauren Jamison Pinckney and husband Justin; his brother, Jack Jamison and wife Bobbie and their sons, Kyle and Johnson, all of Greenville.
