William Frank Durham

September 16, 1935 — August 21, 2015

William Frank Durham, passed away on August 21, 2015.  Frank was born in Greenville, SC on September 16, 1935.  He was the son of Frank Durham, Sr. and Marguerite Bailey Durham.  Frank always had a very special, loving spirit.

Frank (Frankie) graduated from Greenville high School, class of '54, lettering in several sports.  He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Engineering.  He was a member as well as President of many civic clubs. Over the years he was very active in Pendleton Street Baptist Church. He is now a member of First Baptist Church of Greenville.

Frank is survived by his wife, Diane Thompson Durham; his daughter, Susan Durham Moore, Atlanta, GA; grandson, Brandon Brooks, Boston, Mass; granddaughter, Bailey Moore, Atlanta, GA; sisters, June Knight (Harold) of Greenville, Linda Hendricks (Joel) of Utah; brother, Tommy Durham (Sharon), Alpharetta, GA; stepson, Billy Chastain (Suzanne); granddaughters, Henslee and Eliza; grandson, William Chastain III of Lexington, SC.

Frank loved his family but especially loved his grandchildren.

Frank was predeceased by his previous wife, Patricia H. Durham; a son, Mark Durham.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015. Visitation at 10:00am followed by service at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, 847 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to the Special Olympics or Meals on Wheels.

Frank had many friends that he loved and they loved him.  He always had a smile and a funny joke for everyone.  He will be missed by everyone that knew him.  He was a very good man.
