William E. Cox, age 77 formerly of Ashtabula, Ohio died Saturday morning at the Greer Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center Greer, South Carolina.
He was born July 11, 1940 in Rock Creek Ohio., the son of Glenn & Dorothy (LaDue) Cox, he resided in Ashtabula, Ohio until 1995 when he moved to Greenville, South Carolina. He was formerly employed with Rockwell International of Ashtabula, Ohio, Orkin Pest Control and the Southern Connector Toll Road Greenville, South Carolina until retiring in 2010.
Bill enjoyed playing electric bass guitar in various wedding bands in the 1960's and 1970's and spending time with his six Children and seven Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild.
Survivors include six children, Barbara Cox Karbacka of Ashtabula, Ohio, William D. Cox of Wellington, Florida, Timothy Cox & Jodey Harper of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Thomas A. Cox of Ashtabula, Ohio, Carin Cox Pouska of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Jeffery (Mechelle) Cox of Pendleton, South Carolina and Elaine Cox (mother of his six children) of Simpsonville, South Carolina, seven grandchildren, Perry & Jenna Karbacka, Jordyn, Austin (Jenny) & Hannah Pouska, Alyssa & Brooklyn Cox and one great-grandchild Gianna Karbacka; two sisters, Eileen Cox Campbell of Sarasota, Florida and Shirley Cox (David) Karbacka of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Evelyn Cox Harris.
Memorial services will be held Sunday at 3:00PM at the Westville Funerals and Cremations 6010 Whitehorse Rd., Greenville, South Carolina;
