Wessie Bosier

April 14, 1966 — August 8, 2023

On the blessed day of August 8, 2023, the Lord called home His faithful servant, Wessie Bosier. She was born in Sumter, South Carolina on the 14th day of April in the year of our Lord 1966. Wessie transitioned peacefully into God's loving arms in Greenville, South Carolina. Wessie was a woman of great intellect, a trait she honed from her younger years. After completing her high school education, she pursued her passion for technology at Everest University, where she studied Computer Programming. Her intelligence didn't just reside in books, oh no, but was evident in her ability to handle life's challenges with grace and fortitude. She was a force to be reckoned with in the professional realm, serving as a supervisor in the bustling hotel industry of Myrtle Beach. Wessie was not just a supervisor but a leader, guiding her team with a firm hand and a warm heart. Her colleagues and subordinates admired her for her dedication and commitment to her role. She was indeed a beacon of light in the workplace.

In the midst of her busy life, Wessie found solace in her interests. Her greatest passion was fishing any time there was a hook to be placed in the water she was the first one ready to go. Wessie enjoyed life, and enjoyed spending time with family playing cards or board games, and was always ready for a friendly game. Her culinary skills were enjoyed by friends and family alike and her drawings captured the beauty of the world around her. And by golly, she did enjoy a good shopping spree, a little retail therapy never hurt anyone. Wessie was a woman of faith, a pillar in her community, and a beacon of hope to those around her. She was loving, intelligent, and faith-filled. Her love was boundless, reaching far and wide, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her intelligence was not just academic but also emotional, enabling her to navigate the complexities of life with grace and wisdom. Her faith was unshakeable, a rock that she stood on in times of trials and tribulations.

She is survived by her loving husband George, sons Justen Goodman, Jason Goodman and his wife Christy, Jamal Goodman and his wife Kanesha, Joshua Matterson, and his wife (Raven), daughter Jessica Scott and her husband Anthony, Latonya Bosier, Brian Bosier and his fiancé Ella, and Justin Bosier and his wife (Toye), Sisters, Pearl Rose and her husband Donald, Reverend Joann Brown and her husband Ivann, Blondell Goodman, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Wessie & George were also blessed with many grandchildren, Yazmin, Zana, Christen, Valentina, Jazlyn, Jaylen, Des, Kaylee, Azariah, Anyis, Kanijay, Brianna, Kayla, Alexis, Aaron, Heaven, Nevaeh, Ryan, and a great-grandson, CJ.

She was pre-deceased by her father, John Wesley "Wes" Pearson, mother Mary Goodman, and sister Jonnie Pearson.

As we remember Wessie, we are reminded of the words of the great evangelist Billy Graham, "Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will have gone into the presence of God." This quote captures the essence of Wessie's journey. Even though she has left us in body, her spirit lives on, more alive in the presence of God. In conclusion, Wessie was not just a woman, she was a beacon of love, intelligence, and faith. She was a woman of many talents and interests, a woman who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. Even though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on, a testament to her faith and her love for God. She was indeed a woman of substance, a woman whose legacy will live on in the hearts of those she left behind. So, we say not goodbye, but till we meet again at the feet of our Lord, rest in peace, Wessie Bosier. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. A closing word from her husband George, “ Wessie you will always be my Queen and I will always love you."
