Wendell V. Wade, 70, passed away on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at Open Arms Hospice at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
He was born in Gainesville, GA and is the son of the late Lee Benjamin and Vera Bruce Wade.
Before retiring Mr. Wade worked as a plant engineer for Franklin Dyed Yarns and part-time for Home Depot after retirement. He is of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Reese Wade of the home; his children, Wendy Garrett of Charlotte and Mark (Dodd) Wade of Powdersville; a brother, Leland (Annette) Wade of Liberty; a daughter-in-law, Delores Wade of Duncan; a mother-in-law Annie Snow of Powdersville; grandchildren, Conor Teeling and Jennifer Wade; a niece Stephanie (Robert) Redondo; great nephews, Ethan and Gabriel Redondo.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son Daniel Wade.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 3 pm in the chapel of Westville Funerals & Cremations 6010 White Horse Rd. Greenville, SC 29611. Phone 864-269-5073.
