Walter Darrell McAllister

Walter Darrell McAllister, 64, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the late Walter H. “Junior” and Juanita S. McAllister. He was preceded in death by a brother, John G. “Johnny” McAllister and brother in law, James M. “Jimmy” Banks. He attended Real Life Ministries.
Darrell’s greatest passions were music, running sound for numerous bands over the years, putting on benefits to help those in need and Alabama football.
Surviving are a daughter, Tabitha McAllister Penland(Mark) of Donalds; a sister, Linda Banks of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Kelsi Clary and Bryson Clary, both of Greenwood; Special nieces and nephews, Tammy Johns, Terri Haynes, Donnie Banks, Ronnie Banks, and Rhonda Reese; and a dear family that held a special place in Darrell’s(Daddy and Grandaddy)heart, Sherri, Brian, Tyler, Allie and Taylor Crouch. Also, very special friends, Julie Smith and his Mudcat Family.
A Celebration of Darrell’s life will be held at a later date. Friends and family will be notified.
