Walter Paul Gregory

Walter Paul Gregory, 67 of the Welcome community, knocked on Heaven's door and Jesus answered on Saturday July 15, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 26, 1949 to the late George & Bertha Hopkins Gregory. Walter was a retired truck driver. He loved reading his bible and spending time with Jesus, his savior. Before his health begin to decline, he was an avid Bass fisherman. Surviving are his beloved dog Fat Girl, brothers; Howard Gregory of Greenville, Preston Gregory of Georgia, Greg Gregory of Piedmont, a nephew Wesley Gregory whom he had a special bond with, a special cousin Deloris. He was predeceased  by 2 brothers; Bruce & Buford Gregory, 1 sister; Dovie Lee Hopkins Cleveland. . The family would like to say "Thank you" to Raymond, Rhonda, and their family for always being there to help. The family would like to say Thank you to Open Arms Hospice for all the help they have given over these last couple of years. A special "Thank you" to his regular and faithful care team. Dr. Carey, Wendy, (NP), Deborah (RN), Joe (Chaplin), Jen (Social Worker), Elaine (CNA). The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
