He is survived by a loving family, including his wife Peggy Slone Clemons, with whom he built a life full of joy and shared purpose. His legacy is carried on by his son Christopher Clemons and daughter-in-law Anna; his daughter Tina Cook; his son Donovan Clemons; and his cherished grandchildren Jade Scarborough, Taylor Scarborough, Alyssa Schomer, Aubrey Schomer, Paige Clemons, Riley Schomer, Jaxon Sentell, and Austin Clemons. Vernon was also blessed with great-grandchildren Aiden Tittle, Greyson Moore, and Everleigh Sacher, who brought him immeasurable happiness in his later years.
Preceding him in death were his siblings Vincent, Ruben, Connie, and Brenda. Vernon's memory will be honored and kept alive by his five brothers and one sister, Lewis, Denny, Kermit, Ira, Ricky, and Sandra, who remember him with deep affection and respect.
Vernon's educational journey concluded with his graduation from high school, where he laid the foundation for what would become a fulfilling career. He retired as a Service Technician, a role in which he was known for his reliability and skill. Beyond his professional achievements, Vernon took the most pride in raising a wonderful and loving family, a testament to his generous and courageous spirit.
An avid outdoorsman, Vernon's interests were deeply rooted in the natural world.
