Verna Davis Ring, born April 9th 1927, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 9th 2020.
She is survived by her sister, Jane, her beloved children- Bonnie, Melissa and Tim- as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Verna was an adventurous, energetic, artistic lady who loved to cook, read, travel, go to church, listen to opera, and garden. She also loved her coffee, pies, ice cream, pepperoni pizza and all kinds of Italian and Greek food!
Flowers and colors, rain storms and oceans, sunrises and sunsets, mountains and birds- she appreciated and saw the beauty in all of God’s creation.
Most of all, she loved the Lord Jesus, and was a bold witness to all she knew. The worn pages of her Bible are a testament to the years she daily read and treasured its truth.
Perhaps her deep love for her family and friends was most evident by what a faithful prayer warrior she was all the way to the end of her earthly life. It was no secret that her greatest desire was that her loved ones fully love, know and follow Christ.
Verna will be dearly missed by many people, but her family is comforted in knowing she is enjoying the beauty and sweetness of heaven with her Savior and adoring husband, Bill, who preceded her in death.
1 Corinthians 15:55, 57
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.“
