Vera McCuen Hood

Vera McCuen Hood, 87, of Greer, died Sunday, December 30, 2018.
Raised in Greer, SC, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Minnie Pearson.
Vera was a faithful, charter member of Praise Cathedral Church of God in Greer. She was a devoted wife, a precious, loving mother, and a church volunteer, serving with the senior adults and choir. Her love for her family was only overshadowed by her love for the Lord.
Vera is survived by son, Rev. Bob McCuen and wife, Rebecca McCuen, of Taylors, SC; daughter, Tammi Bishop and husband, Danny Bishop, of Taylors, SC; daughter Krista Ligon and husband, Richard Ligon, of Greer, SC; six grandchildren, Justin Bishop and wife, Lindsay, April McCuen Rains and husband, Brent, Harris Ligon and wife, Courtney, Matthew Bishop and wife, Lindsey, Tiffany Ligon Clark and husband, Eric, and Preston Bishop; seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Perry T. Hood, and by 3 sisters and 1 brother.

A Memorial service will be held at Praise Cathedral Church of God, 3390 Brushy Creek Road in Greer on Tuesday, Jan 1 at 4:00 pm with visitation following.
