Tony Earl Burgess, 61, beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed away on December 30, 2023, at
his home. He was a man who loved life with a fiery spirit and loving heart. Born in Greenville County. He
was born to the late Earnest Walker “Charles” Burgess and Bonnie Earlene Shipman Burgess. He is
survived by a son Tony Earl Burgess II and a daughter Kayla Lynn Burgess Kelley (Keith). He is survived by his grandsons Walker James Burgess and Coltin Lee Burkhart, and granddaughters Fancy Mae Burgess and Allie Marie Burkhart. Tony was one of four children. He is survived by his brothers Charles Dean Burgess (Tracy) and Norman Keith Burgess, and a sister Linda Gail Burgess. He is survived by six nieces and one nephew, two great nieces and one great nephew. Tony enjoyed his time in the boxing ring.
He enjoyed teaching his children some of them boxing moves through the years. Tony leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and determination. He was a man who lived his life on his terms and who loved
fiercely. His spirit will continue to inspire those who know him. His wisdom echoed in their hearts, and
his memory was a constant reminder of a life well lived. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
