Tommie Lynn Lupo Gautsch, 72, went to her eternal home Thursday, November 24, 2022. She was surrounded by loved ones at her residence in Greenville, SC. Born November 6, 1950 in GreenSea, SC, daughter of the late Tom and Carolyn Lupo. Tommie was a member of North Hills Church. She was crowned Miss Loris 1970 and represented her town in the Miss South Carolina Pageant. Graduate of Columbia College and Southeastern Community College, she taught Architectural History at Greenville Technical College from 1977-1978. Tommie owned and operated several interior and architectural design businesses in the upstate from 1979-2013, serving clients in SC, NC, and VA. In 1991, she founded Piedmont Women’s Center in Greenville, a crisis pregnancy center and now pregnancy medical clinic, and served as Chairman of the Board from 1991-1994. Survived by her husband, William (Bill) Gautsch; daughter, Noel Posey and son in law Nick; son, Yon Gautsch, and daughter, Katherine Gautsch; granddaughters Caroline and Ruby; and brother, Trent Lupo. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Lupo. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 10:30 followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 at North Hills Church, 4952 Edwards Road, Taylors, SC.
