Tod Christopher Burgess

Tod Christopher Burgess, 62 passed away at his residence on Monday, July 13, 2020. Tod was born on July 2, 1958, to parents Ruth Nadine Burgess and Roy Filmore Burgess in Baltimore, Maryland. Later, the family moved to Dunedin, Florida where he graduated High School. At approximately 27 years old, Tod moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he met Melinda and they were married and walked together in life.
In 1990, Tod and Melinda relocated to Greenville and started their family, where together they raised Brittany Lynn Burgess and Brandon Christopher Burgess. Those who knew Tod understood that he was a devoted fan of Miami Dolphins, and more recently became a fan of the Clemson Tigers. Tod was a handyman and enjoyed woodworking. He seemed to always have an ice-cold Coca Cola in his hand and had a special place in his heart for animals especially his dog Bella who stayed in his shadow. Tod was a devoted father, and nothing would make him smile more than the love he had for his children. He might have left this earth, but he will always be in their hearts. Of all the wonderful things that Tod was, the most important was how much he cared and loved others.
Funeral Services for Tod Christopher Burgess will be held Friday, July 17, 2020, at the Cremation Society of South Carolina – Westville Funerals located at 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville South Carolina 29611 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
