Timothy Paul Brown, known affectionately as Tim, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023, in his hometown of Greenville, SC. Born on July 22, 1955, to the late Eugene and Eloise Wilbanks Brown, Tim was a beacon of love, friendliness, and thoughtfulness throughout his 68 years of life.
Tim was a proud graduate of Parker High School in Greenville, SC. He carried the lessons and friendships he made there throughout his life, always cherishing the memories of his formative years. After graduation, he dedicated many years of service to JP Stevens Dunean Plant in Greenville, SC, before his well-deserved retirement. His colleagues remember him as a hardworking and reliable team member, always ready with a friendly smile and a helping hand.
Tim was a devoted family man, survived by his loving wife, Anita Cordell Brown of 47 years, and their two children, Timothy Paul Brown, Jr, and Kelly Cordell Brown. He was a beloved brother to Ricky Eugene Brown and the late Randy, Stevie, and Totsy Brown. Tim was a doting grandfather to his granddaughters, Kayla Cordell Brown, Kylee Nicole Rolen, and Khloe Grace Rolen. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Tim was a man of many interests, but his most defining trait was his ability to befriend everyone he met. His warm, welcoming nature made him a favorite in his community. He was known for his kindness, his generosity, and his ability to make anyone feel like the most important person in the room. Tim was the kind of person who would go out of his way to help others, always putting the needs of others before his own.
In remembering Tim, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, friendship, and thoughtfulness. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, a testament to a life filled with kindness and warmth.
