THOMAS STEWART McCRANEY

Thomas Stewart McCraney, age 92, passed away on November 30, 2016 at Southern Oaks Residential Care in Greenville, SC.

Tom was born in Monroe, North Carolina to John A. and Bessie Stewart McCraney.

Mr. McCraney married Thelma Louise Yarborough of Spartanburg County. Tom and Thelma had three children during their 49 years of marriage: Mary Louise Baker (Jimmy Jackson) of Greer, SC; Kenneth Stewart McCraney (Sharon) of Easley, SC and Martha Ann Dupee (Stephen) of Jensen Beach, FL. Thomas is also survived by 7 grandchildren (6 living, 1 deceased) and 13 great grandchildren.

Mr. McCraney was a graduate of Woodruff High School and North Greenville College. He also attended classes at Furman University. His work history included textiles, sales and he was a Christian Minister. He loved serving in the various churches he attended and was very active in lay ministry after his retirement. His present church membership is at Monaghan Baptist Church.

The funeral will be held at Monaghan Baptist Church on West Parker Road at 10 am on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery on Wade Hampton Blvd.
