Thomas F Limbaugh, Sr.

July 17, 1941 — March 12, 2025

Greenville, SC

Thomas F. Limbaugh, Sr., affectionately known as Tommy or Bud-Lite to his friends and family, passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 83 in his hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. Born on July 17, 1941, in the same close-knit community, Tommy's life was a testament to his faith-filled spirit, intelligence, and boundless love for his family and the great outdoors.

Tommy was the beloved husband of Sharon Limbaugh, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and mutual support. He was a devoted father to his children, Ginger Blankenship, Anita Applewhite and husband Bobby, Carol Ann Limbaugh, and Thomas Limbaugh Jr., and a cherished father-in-law to their spouses. His life was enriched by the joy of his grandchildren, Joshua and wife Sharon, Tiffany, Tabitha, Jason, Kevin, Jessica, and Leslie, and he was a proud great-grandfather to Lashay, Nicki, Savanah, Isaac, Logan, Luke, and Koa. The family tree continued to flourish with the addition of his great-great-grandchildren, Ivory, Harley, Addison, Landyn, Brooklyn, Aiden, and Matthew. Tommy's legacy of love and family values will live on through them.

Predeceased by his parents, Benjamin Franklin Limbaugh and Selma Flossy Landers, his son Thomas Scott Limbaugh, his granddaughter Samantha Cooke, his great-granddaughter Katelynn, and his eleven brothers and sisters, Tommy's memory will be a beacon of strength and resilience for his many nieces and nephews.

Tommy's work ethic was as strong as his character. For over three decades, he was a dedicated textile worker and a jack of all trades, ace of none, known for his ability to fix just about anything. His colleagues admired his tenacity, especially as he triumphed over cancer, becoming a 31-year survivor who inspired others with his courage and determination.

A man of the outdoors, Tommy found solace and joy in fishing, a pastime he eagerly shared with anyone willing to learn. His love for nature was only rivaled by his passion for the Carolina Gamecocks, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite team, wearing his favorite color blue. He was a pool shark and a hustler. Tommy's zest for life was infectious, and he made it his mission to teach everyone he knew about the beauty and wonders of the natural world.

Tommy's intelligence shone through in every aspect of his life, from his problem-solving skills at work to his strategic approach to fishing and his insightful conversations with loved ones. He was a loving man who put his family first, always there with a helping hand or a word of encouragement. His faith-filled nature was the cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's challenges and joys with grace and humility.
