December 27, 1932 — December 30, 2020

Thomas John Krauzowicz, 88, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away December 30, 2020, of COVID. Tom is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 68 years, Rosemarie Krauzowicz, and his five children, Jean (Rick) Gelineau, Pat (Tim) Martin, John (Doris) Krauzowicz, Cathy Krauzowicz, and Shelly (Jim) Akers. He was the proud grandpa of ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, six grand-dogs, and two grand-cats.
From 1953 thru 1955, Tom served in the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant. He served as a physical training instructor and with the military police in Fort Gordon, Georgia. After 1955, he remained enlisted in the Army Reserves at Fort Wayne in Detroit, Michigan until he was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1961.
In 1955, he returned to Detroit, Michigan with his wife and family where he began his career in the automotive industry. Throughout his career, he worked as an engineer in several of the GM design studios: Chevrolet, Buick, and Oldsmobile. On April 1, 1996, he retired from General Motors design group and in 2013 moved to South Carolina.
We will celebrate his life daily for years to come with many stories filled with laughter and a glad heart that we had him on this earth for as long as we did. Tom was a private person, but those fortunate to have known him were blessed by his wit, humor, kindness, generosity, and knowledge.
