Thomas E. Ballenger, Sr. passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016. Born in Greenville, SC to Mr. and Mrs. George E. Ballenger. He was a retired Chief of Police in King Cove, Alaska. He is survived by his daughter: Tammy B. Gleaton; sons: Thomas E. Ballenger, Jr., Lawrence E. Ballenger and Cody Pierce; brother: Ronald (Mac) Ballenger; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Lynda and CC (Buddy) Hice. He was predeceased by his sister: Elizabeth Mitchell. A Private Family Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:30 am at Foothills Baptist Church 1204 Hwy 25 North, Travelers Rest, SC 29690 with burial at a later date in Alaska.
