Terry Lee Mauldin

August 5, 1956 — November 28, 2023

Terry Lee Mauldin, known affectionately as Terry to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023, at the age of 67 in his hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. Born on August 5, 1956, also in Greenville, Terry lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for the simple pleasures in life, and a legacy of kindness that touched all who knew him.

Terry is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, Shirley Mauldin, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership; his sons, Michael Mauldin and Chad Mauldin, along with Chad's wife, Candy; his mother, Melba Craigo; his sisters, Kathy McDonald; Angela Ward (Eric) and his cherished grandchildren, Abby Mauldin, Pearl Lyday, Eli Mauldin, and Cayden Mauldin. Terry was a central figure in a large family network that included many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and great-nieces, all of whom will miss his warm presence. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Mauldin, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories.

A proud graduate of the local high school, Terry's work ethic and affable nature were well-known at the Southern Weaving Co., where he dedicated many years of service. His colleagues not only respected him for his reliability and skill but also cherished him for his humor and camaraderie.

Terry's interests were a reflection of his love for the traditions and pastimes that bind us. He was an avid fan of college football, reveling in the excitement of the game and the community it fosters. His love for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his appreciation for nature and the quiet moments of reflection it provides. Terry also found great joy in westerns, immersing himself in the tales of heroism and adventure that echoed his own principles of living a life with honor and courage.

Those who knew Terry will remember him as a loving husband, a kind father, a funny grandfather, and a loyal friend. His laughter was infectious, his advice was cherished, and his ability to light up a room was unparalleled. Terry's life was a tapestry of the love he gave and the joy he brought to others, a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Terry Lee Mauldin's life was a journey of love, laughter, and kindness. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the indelible mark he left on our lives and the memories that will forever warm our heart
