Terry Wayne Gilstrap, age 69, of Pickens, South Carolina, passed away at Greenville Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 6, 2017, following a long battle with cancer. Wayne was born on December 9, 1947 in Easley South Carolina. He was the son of the late Pickens ‘Pick” and Ruby Gilstrap of Pickens County, and leaves behind two sisters, Nell Duggin and JoAnn Winslett.
He was survived by his spouse, Catherine Edwards Gilstrap, children Amanda Dow (John), Greg Gilstrap (Missy), Jason McCollum (Gypsi), Meredith McCollum and Rebecca Murray (Matt), and 7 grandchildren.
Wayne was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a fighter of this dreadful disease until the end. No formal arrangements will be made per the deceased request.
