Terri Jewel Rodgers

April 13, 1957 — June 4, 2020

Terri Jewel Rodgers, daughter of James “Sprig” and Jewel Rodgers, passed away June 4, 2020. She lived in the Powdersville community most of her life and was a graduate of Wren High School. She worked as a paralegal in Greenville for several years, but her love for children motivated her to begin a new career in teaching. She attended Southern Wesleyan University where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a member of Living Sanctuary Church.
She is survived by her son Chase Merritt and grandchildren Bryan and Amberly; her sister Jodi (Rodgers) Penosky and brother Steve Rodgers. She is predeceased by her parents Sprig and Jewel; brothers Tony, Rick, and Bryan.
Terri lived life with enthusiasm and will be missed by many. Memorial service details for her and her mother, Jewel who passed away on March 31, 2020, will be provided at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund or American Kidney Fund.
