Teresa Lynn Costill, affectionately known as Terri to her friends and family, passed away peacefully at her home on August 19, 2024. Born on January 2, 1960, in Akron, Ohio, Terri was a vibrant soul whose creativity and adventurous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Terri was predeceased by her loving parents, Harold Bruce Costill and Phyllis June Costill. She is survived by a large and loving family, including her siblings Rebecca Leigh Costill, Linda (Gene) Costill Reid, David (Casey) Allen Costill, Laura (Perry) Costill Davis, and Kimberly (Mike) Costill Hellums, as well as her cherished 42 nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Terri is a licensed electrician in seven states. Her dedication and skill marked her professional career, and she was most recently employed by Advanced Cable Bus. However, it was her artistic endeavors that truly captured her essence. Terri was an artist of many mediums, from paper to painting, drawing, and etching. Her hands shaped clay into functional and beautiful dinnerware, teapots, cups, and vases. She also had a special talent for transforming cut and wildflowers into stunning arrangements that brought joy to many.
Terri's interests were as eclectic and vibrant as her personality. She found solace and excitement in fly fishing on Lake Jocassee, where the calm waters reflected her serene yet spirited nature. Travel was another of Terri's passions, and she explored the world with friends, creating memories in every corner of the globe. A gifted cook, Terri delighted in preparing eclectic meals that were as delicious as they were inventive, often sharing these culinary creations with loved ones.
The "porch crew" and the community at the Blockhouse held a special place in Terri's heart. It was in these cherished spaces that she shared laughter, stories, and the simple pleasures of good company. Those who sat with her on the porch or gathered at the Blockhouse will fondly remember the warmth and light she brought to every gathering.
Terri's life was a testament to her adventurous, spirited, and creative nature. She approached every day with a sense of wonder and a desire to experience all the beauty the world had to offer. Her legacy is one of inspiration, encouraging others to pursue their passions with courage and joy.
