Also his Uncle Jack Pittman (Dot) and Aunt Marcy Griffith (Pert).Ted graduated from Parker High School, Class of 1976. He was an outstanding basketball player and very proud of his P.H.D. His Parker family was very close and dear to his heart. He attended Newberry College on an athletic scholarship for basketball and was very proud to be on the team that won a National Championship. After college, he started his career in textiles working with his Uncle Jack at Pittman Textile. He had a God given talent to sell anything and was often called “the best salesman ever”. He retired three years ago after working in the textile industry and chemical sales for many years. He was enjoying life, time with family, beach trips and playing golf. After a short battle with cancer, God called him home, and we can only imagine the reunion in heaven!

Ted was an avid golfer and a member of Paris Mountain Country Club. He loved all sports and especially the Clemson Tigers! He was an active member of the Greenville Textile Heritage Society. He attended New Liberty Baptist Church and was a lifelong member of Monaghan Baptist Church. Ted loved with his whole heart. He cherished his family more than words can say. He had so many special friends that he truly loved far too many to name, but you all know who you are.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM on October 8, 2024 at Cremation Society of South Carolina Westville funerals located at 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611.
