Syble Massengale of Easley SC passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones on August 16th 2022. She was born in Greenville SC on October 13th 1942 to the late Raymond and Alma Westmoreland.
Syble is survived by her brother, Keever Westmoreland (Patricia); her children, Bobby Massengale (Chrissy), and Elisha Raines (Rod); grandchildren, Angie (TJ), Brandon (Morgan), Blake (Laura), and Gage; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Landon, Braydin, Teagan, Adalynn, and Beckett.
She ran the boutique at Twisted Chics Salon with her daughter, Elisha, for over 25 years. She loved her work, made countless friends at the salon, and enjoyed spending quality time with her daughter and co-workers.
She was affectionately known as “Nannie” to nearly everyone she knew. She was as loving and kind as one could be, and treated everyone like family. She was truly a beautiful soul – both inside and out.
Her family would tell you that for as kind as she was, she stubbornly took her “famous” fudge recipe to the grave. Rumor has it, that you may or may not find that recipe on the back of a Betty Crocker box.
She was known to all as an avid Coca Cola memorabilia collector. Her entire home was decked out in Coca Cola red and white, and her collection continued to grow as friends and family gifted her Coke products for every occasion.
The family will be receiving friends at Cremation Society of SC – Westville Funerals on Thursday, August 18th at 5 PM with a service to follow immediately.
