Sybil Ann Garrett Babb

Sybil Ann Garrett Babb, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, died on Wednesday, March 24, 2016. Born in Fountain Inn, South Carolina on May 06, 1935. She is predeceased by her parents, Jeter Garrett Sr. and Etta Grace Rodgers Garrett. She retired from Greenville County Schools after working at Hillcrest High School from 1969 to 1973 as the School Secretary. She then worked at Mauldin High School from 1973 until her retirement in 1999.

Surviving are her brother, Jeter Garrett Jr. and wife, Eleanor, her sister, Jane Etta Harper and husband Don. Also surviving are two daughters, Paula B. Crews of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Lynn B. Antequera and spouse, Ja of Gibsonville, North Carolina; one son, James S. Babb of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Kenneth M. Crews and wife, Leslie of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Courtney Lynn Tatum of Banner Elk, North Carolina and Bobby Tatum of Raleigh, North Carolina.; one great grandchild, James Morris “Gunner” Crews of Simpsonville, South Carolina.

Memorial services by which to honor her life will be held Saturday, March 26th, at Brookwood Church at 11:00 am in the West Side Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial can made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. Condolences may be expressed for the family at www.cremationsocietyofsc.com .
