Susan Theresa Worcester, affectionately known as Suzy to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 72. Born on June 16, 1951, in Worcester, MA, Suzy was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her.
Suzy spent her professional life as a dedicated Legal Assistant and Notary, where her meticulous attention to detail and warm demeanor earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. She was an active member of her community, often volunteering her time and skills to various associations, where her contributions were both valued and impactful.
Her interests were as diverse as they were passionate. Suzy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing moments spent with her church friends, exploring the beauty of nature through hiking, and expressing her creativity through knitting. An avid reader, she also had a love for traveling, with her most recent adventure taking her to the historic city of Jerusalem, a trip that she spoke of with great fondness and reverence.
Suzy's life was a testament to her faith-filled spirit, which guided her through the many chapters of her journey. Her loving nature was the cornerstone of her existence, and it was reflected in the close-knit relationships she maintained with her family and the many special friends she made along the way.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry E. Worcester, her cherished daughter, Heather Dawn Worcester, her father, Corrado Gastaldo, her mother, Phyllis Gastaldo, her brother, Larry Gastaldo, and her sweet cat, Cinnamon. Suzy's legacy continues through her surviving family members, including her sister, Josie (Tom) Keenan, her daughters, Janet (Michael) George and Chona (Mick) Winstead, her adored grandchildren, Addison and Anthony, and her precious great-grandchildren, Landyn and Marlee. She will also be fondly remembered by her nephews, Tony, Jason, and Logan, who brought additional joy and laughter to her life.
Those who knew Suzy will remember her as a woman of immense warmth and generosity. Her kind heart and unwavering positivity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of those she encountered. Suzy's life was a beautiful reflection of her loving, kind, and faith-filled nature, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we bid farewell to Suzy, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the extraordinary life she led. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and her memory will be cherished forever.
