Known for her contagious laugh and positive outlook Susan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed quilting, gardening and baking. She was also technologically savvy and loved her computer games. Susan “Sue” T. Stevens, 76, of Gray Court, SC, passed away after a short illness on October 18, 2020.

Born in Springfield, VT on April 15, 1944, daughter of the late Thomas and Rachel (Armstrong) Thompson where she resided until she moved to CT, where she met Robert. Robert and Susan eventually moved to Pittstown, NJ where they raised their three boys. Susan later moved to Monson, ME and eventually back to NJ and ultimately to Gray Court, SC.

She spent the last few years living her life to the fullest with her sister Sally. She was an active member of the Quilters of Valor quilting guild. The guild presented quilts to veterans to thank them for their service and was near and dear to Susan’s heart.

Susan is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert F. Stevens and brother George Thompson of Springfield, VT. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Michael Stevens and Wendy Hanson-Stevens of Sanford, ME; son and daughter in-law, Robert and Brenda Stevens of Clinton Township, NJ; son and daughter in-law, Matthew and Andrea Stevens of Annandale, NJ; sister, Sally Longway and her partner John Creech of Gray Court, SC; sister in-law and widow of George, Mary Thompson of Springfield of VT; a brother and sister in-law, Thomas and Jane Thompson of Chester, VT; five grandchildren, Rachel Stevens and her fiancé Cody White of Sanford, ME, Jessica Stevens of Clinton Township, NJ, Tyler and his wife Amanda Stevens of Lower Saucon, PA, Madison and Gabriella Stevens of Annandale, NJ; three great grandchildren, Bentley Gilson and Brady White of Sanford, ME and Forrest Stevens of Lower Saucon, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2021 in Monson, ME where Susan will be laid to rest with her husband, Robert.
