Susan Marcella Hammond, 89, of Greer, SC, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017. She was born February 20, 1928 in Salem, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Columbus Edward Pace and Matilda Pace. She was the widow of Frank Vigiletti of Catskill, New York. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her youngest son, Craig Edward Tuckey of Naples, Florida.
She is survived by two cousins, Anna Mae Ferrien of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and Bonnie Biggs Kerr of Salem, Missouri. She is also survived by her son, Robin Lee Tuckey and her daughter in law, Cheryl Tuckey of Lyman. She had four grandchildren, Jonathon Graebner (Deanna Graebner) of Clearwater, Florida, and Robin Lee Tuckey II (Amber Tuckey) of Shiro, Texas, Ashley Beauchane of Merrit Island , Florida and Tamera Tuckey of Naples, Florida. She also had two great-grandchildren, Kiera Graebner and Margaret Graebner of Clearwater, Florida.
In her earlier years she was a member of the Lady Elks Lodge in Catskill, New York. She organized many functions for the lodge. She loved to entertain and plan events. Susan loved to travel and visited numerous countries. She loved reading, bird watching, music and cooking. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Greer, SC. She was active with Senior Ministry and delivered tea and Communion to other Senior Members of the church. She also organized Senior field trips. She played bells at church.
A memorial service will be held and conducted by Reverend Darren Hook and Reverend Linda Guthrie 11am Saturday, August 26, at Covenant United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at noon.
