Born on September 28, 1996, in the warm embrace of Stockbridge, GA, Storm danced through life's stages with the grace of a free spirit until her untimely departure on December 10, 2023, in Greenville, SC.

Storm was the life of every party, and not just because she was a bartender with the uncanny ability to remember your favorite drink and your most embarrassing story. She was a graduate of Pike County High School in Zebulon, GA, where she was voted most likely to brighten your day – unofficially, of course. Her laughter was infectious, her presence a comfort, and her antics the stuff of family legend.

She was the loving mother to Aurora DeJesus, who inherited her mother's mischievous twinkle and her boundless energy. Storm's spirit lives on through her daughter, who will no doubt continue the legacy of impromptu kitchen dance-offs and the art of crafting the perfect s'more.

Lisa Taylor Perkins, her mother, and Tiffany Shepard Gener and Skye Shepard, her sisters, knew Storm as the family's unofficial cheerleader, always ready with a joke or a hug, whichever was needed more. Her grandmother, Ann Taylor and aunt Teri Taylor Alford, uncle Kevin Taylor, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins were often the audience to her impromptu comedy shows, which she held wherever and whenever the mood struck her.

Storm's interests were as varied as her cocktail recipes. She was a yogi by morning, a swimmer by day, a hiker at dusk, and a concert-goer by night. She tackled sports with the same enthusiasm she had for family gatherings – with a competitive streak and a refusal to let anyone sit on the sidelines.

To say Storm was loving, adventurous, and spirited is like saying the ocean is a little wet. She was a force of nature, a woman who lived her life like she mixed her drinks – with a generous pour, a splash of flair, and always with a twist.

Storm Mikayla Shepard, you were the best kind of storm – one that left us drenched in love, laughter, and the unshakeable feeling that life is one grand adventure. Cheers to you, Storm, for the unforgettable journey.
