Steven Gregory, 73, of Anderson passed away peacefully Monday, November 28th, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, Ciro and Josephine Gregory. Steve is survived by his daughter, Emily Farr, son-in-law, Jim Farr, grandchildren, Vince, Milo, Cricket, his brother, Robert Gregory, his sister-in-law, Denise Gregory, and his nephew, Elliot Gregory. Steven was born on March 13th, 1949 to Ciro and Josephine Gregory in Newark, NJ. After Steven graduated from Vailsburg High School, Newark, NJ, in 1966, he went on to study psychology at Seton Hall. He then chose to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist after studying at the University of Chicago. However, later in life, he decided to change careers and studied computer sciences at Clemson University. He worked as a computer programmer until his recent retirement. Steve has enjoyed many hobbies over the years including playing guitar, writing music, archery, bird watching, and he was even an FCC-licensed amateur radio operator since 1962.
Upon retiring, Steve delighted in his true passions: music, his love for animals, and spending time with his family. Steve was an accomplished musician. He loved to write and perform on his guitar. His most recent music featured his grandchildren. He devoted much of his time to his pets. Steve had always loved all animals. He was a wonderful father and grandfather.
Steve was best known for his intelligence, generous spirit, and loving nature. If you ever had a computer or musical question, he was the man for the job. And if you were ever in need, he had a heart the size of Texas. It was his mission to make sure his loved ones had what they needed, but also what they wanted. He was an amazing and giving man.
Steve has impacted the lives of many and he will be missed by all.
