Steven G. Craft, 65, of Belton, SC passed away peacefully at his home on June 8, 2020. He was of Christian faith and is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born on October 20, 1954, to Thomas Carey Craft and Doris Swaney Craft. He is survived by wife, Angela, of 32 ½ years, daughters Amy Craft Whitney (Tony), Anna Craft Allman (Nicolas), son Michael Craft, sister Caron Craft Ebernickle (Neil), all of Anderson, SC, and mother-in-law, Bonnie McCoy, of the home. He was a proud grandfather of Palin and Piper Whitney and Fenix Allman.
Steve was a 1973 graduate of T.L. Hanna High School. He was also a graduate of S.C. Criminal Justice Academy and S.C. Highway Patrol School. He was a lifetime member of the Professional Diver’s Association, former member of SCLEA, and FOP Lodge 10. He was a retired Law Enforcement Officer with 22 years of service in the state of S.C.
Steve enjoyed hunting, camping, and traveling. You could always find him with a camera, taking pictures of everything from dragsters to waterfalls. He thoroughly loved watching Clemson football and having nightly Jeopardy matches with his son. Steve was known for his long, entertaining stories, which he loved to repeat often. Most importantly, he loved making memories with his family.
The family will be receiving friends at Long Branch Baptist Church, located at 2101 SC-413, Anderson, SC 29621 on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 5pm, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 6pm.
