Steven Lee Beacham Sr., known affectionately as Steve to his friends and family went to race on the streets of gold on February 6, 2024, in Easley, SC, at the age of 62. Born on July 14, 1961, in Pelzer, SC, Steve was a man whose infectious laughter and kind-hearted nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Steve was a proud father and is survived by his loving children: Donavan Beacham and his wife Brittany, Steven Beacham Jr., Austin Beacham and his wife Logan, Christopher Beacham and his wife Lena, Kristan Beacham, and Michael Payne. He was a cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who will miss his playful spirit and boundless love. Steve is also survived by his brother Barry Beacham, sister Lynn McJunkin, and many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his warmth and generosity. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Merilyn, his brother Jack, and his grandson Payten.
Steve completed his education up to the 6th grade and dedicated his life to the construction industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and camaraderie. His passion for racing was unparalleled; Steve was not only an avid racing fan but also a skilled race car driver. He cherished the moments spent watching races with his family and friends, sharing in the excitement and joy of the sport he loved.
Remembered as loving, kind, and funny, Steve's legacy is one of laughter, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family. His memory will be carried in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
