Stephen Ray Sorgee

Stephen Ray Sorgee, 67, Lake Lure, NC, passed away on December 22, 2021, from a long battle with mesothelioma lung cancer. He was the son of William Sorgee and Agnes Whitsell, born in Greenville, SC, on June 7, 1954. Steve is survived by his wife Lorie; son Steve Sorgee ( Catricia) of Inman; daughter Jessica Dianne Gault of Greenwood; grandsons Blake Sorgee and Bryton Terry; granddaughter Brittany Manley and Gracie Terry; sister Peggy Cisson of Townsville, brother Bill Terrell of Simpsonville; nephews Jamie Gault (Kim) of Simpsonville and Troy Taylor of Georgia; nieces Haden Thackston of Simpsonville and Sissy Taylor of Georgia.
A private funeral service will be held on January 30, 2022, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Judes Cancer Research (donate at stjude.org).
God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
