Stanley "Stan" Alan Pearson of Taylors, SC, son of the late Belva and Carl Pearson Sr., passed peacefully and surrounded by family on March, 29, 2022 in Greenville, SC.
Stan was a long-tenured employee of Hamilton-Sundstrand since the age of 19. He retired in 2014 as a senior analyst of materials planning after 43 years at the company. He proudly represented the company as a member of the company baseball team.
He was a giving man, always focused on the needs of others before his own. Stan was instantly recognizable - you could spot his ever-present Hawaiian shirts from a mile away. He was a devoted "Parrothead" and attended many Jimmy Buffett concerts over the years. He was also a huge Cubs fan, who often went to games both at Wrigley Field and in Florida when they came to play Marlins. Stan was also a lover of animals, particularly his beloved shih tzus, who he loved like children.
Stan spent most of his life in Rockford, IL, and later relocated for work to Puerto Rico and Sunrise, FL. In his later years, he moved to Taylors, SC to be closer to his family. He is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Kreke (Matt), and Kristy Pearson; his sister Patti Mook (Carl); grandchildren Paul and Henry Kreke, and Noah and Ella McLaughlin; nieces Kendall Chapman (Doug), and Sydney Wise; and numerous cousins.
Stan will be missed by all who know him and will leave his daughters with fond memories of family trips to Chicago and Florida, his over-the-top Halloween celebrations (complete with a homemade haunted house for all their friends to enjoy), and his "experimentation" in the kitchen.
There will be a celebration of Stan's life held in Rockford, IL at a later date. The family will announce plans via Facebook once they are available.
