Sidney “Wayne” Hawkins
January 28th, 1955 to March 16th, 2022
Passed away at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Wayne had struggled many years with health issues and most recently suffered a massive stroke which ended his life after several days of being unresponsive in ICU. Wayne was currently residing in Inman, SC after having lived a few short years in Biloxi, Mississippi.
He was of the Baptist faith. Wayne was survived by his wife Kathy Towery Hawkins; daughters Rachel (Danny) Harling, Samantha (Travis) Lancaster, bonus son Jason Neely; brother Thomas Terry; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, eight bonus grandchildren, and one bonus great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his parents, a special grandmother that raised him and his Bonus daughter Tina Neely (Oct 2021) as well as other siblings and family members. Wayne was loved by many family members and friends. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Wayne was a graduate of Dorman High School Class of 1974
A memorial will be at a later date and cremains will be interred in Gaffney, S.C. at a date to be determined.
