Shirley Ann Norris

Shirley Ann Norris, age 88, peacefully went home to be with the angels and her Lord and Savior on January 18th 2020 in Greenville SC.
Shirley was born May 12, 1931 in Washington, D.C. to Thelma Bowers; deceased. She was also predeceased by her husband Robert Norris in 2008, and great granddaughter Chloe Sprouse in 2009.
Shirley Ann Norris RN, CNOR, graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Washington, D.C. with a high school diploma. She received a nursing diploma from Georgetown University and Master's in Nursing Education from Clemson University. She held positions as the Director of Surgery at Hershey Medical Center, Spartanburg Regional, Scott & White, Forrest General, and retired from Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, North Carolina.
Mrs. Norris is survived by her daughters Michelle Larson of Spartanburg, SC (Victor Hawkins) and Melissa Adams of Columbus, OH. Granddaughters; Shana Caliman of Rego Park, NY and Lesley Larson of Spartanburg, SC, grandsons; Zachary Sprouse of Alice, TX and Thorne Spencer serving in the U.S. Navy. Mrs. Norris is survived by 5 great grandchildren.
Shirley brought joy to all that knew her throughout her life time. Shirley enjoyed opera, theater, and loved to travel. Shirley will always be remembered for her smile & laughter and her love of her daughters Michelle and Melissa.
A memorial service for Shirley will be held at 3PM on Friday January 24th in the chapel at Westville, located at 6010 White Horse Rd. Afterwards, a gathering of friends to follow until 5PM. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association @ Act.alz.org.
