Shirley Ann Hintz, 77, of Central, South Carolina, and formerly of Jacksonville, Illinois passed away Friday, October 21st, 2022 at Brookdale Central Assisted Living.
She was born October 6th, 1945, in Morgan County. The Daughter of Albert and Margaret Mason Pevey.
Surviving is three sons, Chip (Karla) Evans, of Chapin, Illinois, Derek (Christine) Evans, of Stuttgart, Germany, and Tab (Angie) Evans, of Central, South Carolina. One daughter, Cinnamon W. Evans, of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Eight grandchildren, Karly (Evans) Banaka, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, Kailey (Evans) Knox of Jacksonville, Illinois, Nic Evans, of Stuttgart, Germany, Brook Evans, of Florham Park, New Jersey, Mackenzie Evans, of Seneca, South Carolina, Cole Evans, of Central, South Carolina, Shannon Evans, of Chapin, Illinois, and Scott Evans, of Chapin, Illinois. Two great-grandchildren, Lilly Knox and Odin Knox of Jacksonville, Illinois. One sister, Norma (John) DeOrnellas, of Murrayville, Illinois. Best friends Alice Broaddus, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Dianna Hopper, of Aroma Park, Illinois.
Three brothers preceded her in death, Jimmy Pevey, of Winter Haven, Florida, Dean Pevey, of Lake Wales, Florida and Richard Pevey, of Jacksonville, Illinois. Also predeceased by her former husband Charles Hintz, of Buffalo, Illinois, and Robert L. Evans, of Jacksonville, Illinois.
Shirley loved to make quilts, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.
A celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Murrayville City Cemetery on November 6, 2022, at 10:00am
