Sherry Lynn McKellar

On Monday, September 13, 2021, Sherry Lynn McKellar, loving wife, mother and “Gimi” to many passed away at the age of 58. Sherry was born July 18, 1963, raised in Iva, SC. Sherry loved to cook for an army, get together and sing karaoke and enjoy good fellowship with family and friends. She loved to crochet for loved ones, those in need including NICU babies, elderly and homeless. If you saw Sherry, you saw her crocheting something for someone regardless of where she was. She loved Jesus and her church family at Iva First Assembly of God. She had a passion for all things flowers and loved her fur babies, but nothing amounted to the love she had for her grandbabies. She will always be remembered for her abundance of grace and love, infectious smile, compassionate spirit and warm hugs. Her testimony and legacy are one of a kind bundled with her heart of gold.
Sherry was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse/Vernell Hanks and Charles/Willie Lee Brown, and her brother, Tony Randell Brown. She is survived by her parents, Frances (Terry) Allen and Major (Dale) Brown; brother, Tony (Jackie) Brown; husband William McKellar; daughter Stephanie (Bubba) Snow; grandchildren, Railynn, Summer and Jada Snow; Adopted son, Eric (Angel) Barber; grandchildren, Matthew, Logan, Shelby and Arabella Barber; Adopted daughter Tasha (Stephen) Scott; grandchildren. Brie and Drake Scott as well as several cousins and other family members and friends whose bond was that of family as well.
Her Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 26th, 2021 at Iva First Assembly of God at 3:00pm. Flowers or donations may be sent to 415 Randolph Drive Iva, SC 29655.
