Shelia Comer, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, in Pelzer, SC, at the age of 69. Born on March 11, 1955, in Carthage, NC, Shelia's life was a tapestry of warmth, care, and dedication to her loved ones and the community that she so cherished.
Shelia's journey began as the beloved daughter of David and Billie Comer, who predeceased her, as did her cherished son, Lee Culler. Her life was a testament to the strength and resilience of family bonds. Sheliaa's legacy is carried on through her adoring daughter, Crystal (Kenneth) Selfridge, and her treasured grandchildren, Gabriel Culler, Jubilee Piivek, Cierra Selfridge, Josh Culler, Logan Selfridge, and Aiden Selfridge. Her sisters, Kathi Muse, Brenda (Vester) Smith, and Tamanda Comer, along with her aunts, Debbie Leavell and Shirley Hilliard, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews, will hold her memory close to their hearts.
Sheliaa's professional life was marked by her passion for healing and her entrepreneurial spirit. As an accomplished massage therapist, she not only provided comfort and relief to countless individuals but also embodied the entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating her own successful business before retiring. Her work was more than a career; it was a manifestation of her caring nature and her desire to improve the lives of others.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sheliaa's interests painted a picture of a woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was often found in the kitchen, baking with her grandchildren, an activity that combined her love for family and her creative flair. These moments in the kitchen were about more than just creating delicious treats; they were about creating memories that her family would cherish forever.
Shelia's life was one of connection and heartfelt moments. She was the embodiment of love and thoughtfulness, always putting others before herself. Her creative soul shone through in every aspect of her life, from her work to her hobbies, and most importantly, in the way she nurtured her family.
The words loving, thoughtful, and creative only begin to scratch the surface of who Shelia is. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt. Yet, the love she shared will continue to resonate, a gentle reminder of the impact one life can have on so many.
As we bid farewell to Shelia Comer, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that is generously loved. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
