Sharon Mae Roberts

Sharon Mae Roberts, 65, of Pelzer, South Carolina, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her home. Born on October 31, 1952 in Ellenboro, West Virginia to her parents, Robert Odell Scantland and Audra Bernadine (Echard) Scantland, she was a 23 year resident of the upstate and a homemaker. Sharon enjoyed taking care of others, her family will most fondly remember her cooking, namely her homemade macaroni and cheese and her chili. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Wilma Colvin and Konita Wooley; her twin sister, Karen Scantland. Those who will treasure her memory are her husband, John M. Roberts, II of Pelzer, South Carolina; her son, John M. Roberts, III and his girlfriend, Klara both of Pelzer, South Carolina; sister, Marilyn Frederick (Mike) of Deer Park, Texas; her brothers, Larry Scantland of Florida, Gary Scantland of Deer Park, Texas and Robert Scantland of Deer Park, Texas. Three grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will place Sharon’s remains next to those of her twin sister in West Virginia.
