Sharon, affectionately called by her friends and family, dedicated two decades of her life to the art of costume design. Her career at Opryland USA was marked by her remarkable talent and passion, which also shone brightly in her work for convention shows, movies, TV shows, commercials, and stage productions. Her creative legacy is woven into the fabric of countless performances that brought joy and wonder to audiences far and wide.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sharon's zest for life was evident in her personal interests. She was an avid square dancer, her steps and spins a joyful echo of her inner spirit. Camping trips were among her favorite escapes, a testament to her love for nature and adventure. Sewing was not just a part of her work but a hobby that allowed her to share her artistry with loved ones. Sharon's playful nature came alive in her love for playing games, and nothing brought her more happiness than spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.
Sharon's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her loving daughters, Amy Phillips and her husband Reggie, Kim Laboissonniere and her husband Ryan; her daughter-in-law Thai Monroe; and her sister, Sheila Lucas and her husband Larry. Her legacy continues through her eight adoring grandchildren, who will carry forward the light of her love. Sharon was predeceased by her son, John "Robby" Monroe Jr., whose memory remained a cherished part of her heart.
Those who knew Sharon would describe her as loving, funny, and friendly—a beacon of positivity who could light up a room with her presence. Her laughter was infectious, her friendship a gift, and her love a comforting embrace that will be dearly missed.

Receiving of guests will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 12-12:30, with a memorial service held from 12:30-1:00, and a time for connections will be held from 1:00-1:30, at the Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.
