Sharon Frye Bentley

Sharon Frye Bentley was born Nov. 27^th of 1933 in Mattoon, Illinois, and gained her Angel Wings April 15^th 2024 in Duncan, South Carolina.  Sharon Lived in Warner Robins, Ga for over 50 years.  

She loved to read, often speed reading 5-10 books a week. This kept her mind strong and her wit even stronger.  Beyond her love for reading was RVing, fishing, sewing, cooking, and crocheting. 

Sharon grew up in Illinois before moving to Warner Robins, GA, where she met and married Jack Williams in 1952. Jack Pre-deceased her in 1996.  They had five children.  Her oldest son Ronald Williams passed away in 2013. Sharon is survived by her other children Robert (Bob) Williams & his wife Peggy Williams, Mark Williams, Becky Plows, and Sandy Petitto & her Husband Wayne Petitto.

After losing her first husband, Sharon married Paul Bentley in 1997, sharing life for 14-years until his demise in 2011. At that point Sharon decided to move to Virginia with Sandy & Wayne. They all moved to South Carolina in 2019, which has become her final earthly home. 

For the last 13 years, Sharon was able to check off several items on her bucket list. She visited Niagara Falls, experiencing the bottom of the falls from the Spirit of the Mist. She walked through caves feeling the thunder and seeing the wall of water from behind the falls. She was able to experience a roller coaster ride at Busch Gardens. She toured Washington DC, visited Las Vegas, and was able to travel, RVing in Virginia, South Carolina, Canada, and New York.

Sharon has left an amazing legacy as a vigorous Matriarch with 5 children, 2 extra children (adopting her as a needed extra parent), a daughter-in-law, and son-in-law, 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren & 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.  

Although we all greatly miss her, our hearts remain spiritually connected with one of God’s newest angles.
