Shannon Jones, age 39, passed away on January 9th, 2023 at his home in Lyman, SC that he shared with his partner of 10 years, Amanda Kutta.
Shannon left behind his two kids, Malacaih and Jordan Jones, his parents Cynthia and Furman Jones, his brother Christopher Jones, and sister Erica Jones, all of which loved him very deeply.
He also left behind countless family members and friends, all who miss him dearly. Shannon was a caring partner, a great son, a protective brother, and above all, a loving dad.
Shannon was loved by more people than he could ever imagine, and will be greatly missed. He left a hole that no person will ever be able to fill.
Shannon was born on November 14th, 1983. He was widely considered by most to be a smart kid, both in school, and spiritually. Shannon accepted Christ as his lord and saviour as a young kid, and still proudly boasted this until the day he died. Shannon graduated from Carolina High School in 2002. He met his first wife in 2004, eventually having two kids, who he loved each and every day endlessly. After a divorce in 2008, Shannon found a new partner in 2012, taking on the role of a father to her 2 kids, Zachary Human and Salem Kutta. Shannon worked multiple jobs over his lifetime, with a dream job of being a doctor. When he wasn't working, his favorite activities included golf, fishing, watching football, and spending time with his family. Through countless health issues, he always found a way to make everyone feel loved and appreciated.
While he leaves a hole here on earth that will never be filled, we rejoice knowing that he is sitting at the right hand of God, and we all will meet him again one day in glory!
Funeral services will be held at New Life Baptist Church on Friday, January 20th, 2023. Visitation starts at 12pm, followed by a memorial service at 1pm, and a lunch afterwards for immediate family. Donations can be made directly to the Cremation Society of SC-Westville Funeral or at the funeral.
