Scott F. Williams, 52, of Taylors, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Spartanburg. Born on December 30, 1964 in Martinsville, Virginia to his parents, Richard Earl Williams and Nancy (Adkins) Williams, he was a longtime resident of Taylors and he worked as a forklift operator in the warehouse industry. He enjoyed playing golf and listening to his favorite band, AC/DC. He enjoyed animals and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his intelligence, his ability to work a Su Do Ku puzzle and watching NASCAR racing, especially Jeff Gordon. Scott also enjoyed attending the Master’s Tournament in Augusta, Georgia and teaching his family the value of keeping up traditions with his family.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents. Those who will most cherish his memory are his loving wife of 29 years, Elaine H. Williams of Taylors, South Carolina; and his children Autumn N. Williams of Mauldin, South Carolina, Justin S. Williams of Fountain Inn, South Carolina and Alyssa E. Williams of Taylors, South Carolina; his sister, Donna Totten of Spartanburg, South Carolina; his brother, Rick Williams of West Palm Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Matthew Williams and Jace Williams. Scott is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and members of his extended family.
A memorial service to remember and honor Scott’s life will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Bible Baptist Church, 509 Old Ashbury Road, Anderson, South Carolina 29625. Officiating will be Reverend Ken Whitt.
