Scarlett Renee Morton-Mitchell, known affectionately as Scarlett, passed away peacefully at home on October 19, 2023. Born on January 17, 1967, in Greenville, SC, Scarlett was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, friendliness, and spirited nature.

Scarlett was the cherished daughter of Judy McClure and Gilbert Santana, and Willard and Mattie Morton. She was a loving sister to Andrea Santana Barnes and held dear the memories of her late brother and stepbrother. Scarlett was a proud aunt to Elizabeth Barnes and Joshua Santana, and she held a special place in her heart for her late grandparents.

Scarlett attended college for two years, where she developed a passion for learning and a love for the arts. She carried these passions into her professional life, working as a retail associate where she was known for her friendly demeanor and dedication to her work.

Scarlett's interests were as varied as they were numerous. She had a keen eye for photography, capturing moments of beauty and joy with her camera. She was an avid swimmer, finding peace and tranquility in the water. Scarlett also had a talent for arts and crafts, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life.

Scarlett's life was characterized by her kindness. She had a way of making everyone she met feel valued and appreciated. Her friendly nature was infectious, and she could always be counted on to brighten up any room she entered. Scarlett was also spirited, approaching every day with enthusiasm and a zest for life that was truly inspiring.

Scarlett will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, friendliness, and spiritedness will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, remembering the joy she brought into our lives and the love she shared with us.

May Scarlett Renee Morton-Mitchell rest in peace, knowing that she made the world a better place with her presence. Her memory will forever be a beacon of light, guiding us towards kindness, friendliness, and spiritedness in our own lives.
